I am officially done with my second to last semester of school and I wanted to wear a cute fit to commemorate this moment. I rarely do a red lip but I felt like this moment called for it. One more semester to go!
Is it just me or when you watch a show that has incredible wardrobe choices it ends up inadvertently influencing your wardrobe? Ever since I watched Emily in Paris, I have been dreaming about so many of those outfits! The final outfit for the Eye Wonder photoshoot with Partners One is one that was (unintentionally) heavily influenced by the ballet outfit in Emily in Paris.
This second outfit for the Eye Wonder photoshoot with Partners One is one of my favorites! I've always wanted to have a more fashion-forward photoshoot but anytime I would stop to think about clothes, I had no idea what I would wear for something like that. I think, maybe, 2 weeks before this shoot, I had this vision in my head of wearing a big pink tulle dress and somehow, that idea kind of became this pink feather dress!
It doesn't have a ring to it at all! (LOL) but it's ok, in my head I live somewhere else that does match with my name! I have been working with Partners One in social media campaigns this year for their Moxey Cards. They can be used in so many local business in Baton Rouge! I decided to try Eye Wonder Photography and live my best Gigi Hadid life, sans the hair, face, body, and of course height!
I had never done anything like this, so I was a little anxious about the process. However, the very sweet people at Eye Wonder made me feel so calm, and the whole shoot went so smoothly!
Here is a behind the scenes little snap. I really loved doing this shoot and I highly recommend Aaron and his team! We did a couple more looks that are to die for, which I will be posting in the following weeks.
In honor of the 7th anniversary for my blog I wanted to do a more sophisticated shoot, something to reflect the changes and growth I have experienced this year!
Do y'all have outfits that you bought thinking you would be able to go out at some point this year? This is mine! I got these sandals in February to wear on my birthday in April but obviously that didn't happen. The bag was another one of those purchases, I got it for a ball for my school that never happened. I decided to wear it for pictures because if I don't I might never get to wear it!
This Nasty Gal dress is one of the most comfortable and forgiving pieces of clothing I own. This dress reminds me of a dress I used to have when I was 12 and never wore because I fell like I was wearing a sack of potatoes! The smock in the bottom area of the dress helps give the dress shape, so no potato sacks over her!
Do you have those pieces that you've categorized in your head as "work clothes" or "going out clothes" and have stayed there and for some reason cannot mix? Because that's how I felt about this outfit! I would only wear this top, cardigan, and shoes to work and the skirt to go out. But today I felt like maybe it would be cute to combine them together and ignore the categories that only exist in my head.
This dress gives me Peggy from Mad Men vibes but modernized if that makes any sense! Love how flattering the shape is and of course, I had to pair it with this cute red bag.
I got this dress from Nasty Gal for $28 and I wanted to do a fall vibe shoot with it. I love the material so it's not terrible to wear in the really hot and humid fall here in Louisiana.
