I recently joined a group of bloggers here in Louisiana, and we decided to go a game day post challenge. I'm not really a football person but I do support my Longhorns everywhere I go!
As soon as I put on the jersey that has been sitting in the back of my closet, I realized that it has been a year since I moved to Louisiana. To commemorate my moving anniversary, here are a few things that I miss from Texas:
1. My family <3
2. My friends.
3. The culture.
4. The food: Houston and Austin have amazing restaurants from everywhere in the world! I have some of my favorites on my Instagram Story Highlights.
5. The people. Don't get me wrong, people here in Louisiana are super nice! But my Texans have my heart.
6. The size of the cities. I love love a big city, to be able to find things to do at any time of the day, to have justified traffic (BR, I'm talking about you!).
7. Hearing different languages all the time. This might be like a silly one, but I took it for granted all those years in Houston and Austin! I get very excited the few times I hear people here speak anything other than English.
8. Whataburger *They have it in Louisiana but it does NOT taste the same!
9. The malls and shops.
10. Friendly neighbors.
I have learned so much in this past year, and I'm looking forward to the next two years of growth and getting to know Louisiana more.
