I decided to do a series on the blog of business outfit ideas just because I know when I started working it was kind of hard to figure out what to wear. On this post, I am sharing three affordable looks for a more business casual dress code. Note: if you don't have a big budget, as long as you have a nude and black purse and nude and black flats, your outfits will go a long way.
The first thing you need to do before you go shopping, is read the company dress code. Some offices will allow jeans or short sleeves, even sleeveless. Make sure you pay close attention to what is allowed and is what is not. That way you won't spend money on clothes you will not be able to wear.
For this first outfit, I went with a basic long blue dress from Forever 21, a blue cardigan also from Forever 21, nude heels from Forever 21, and a nude purse from Ross. You can get a basic long dress from any store and as long as it is blue or black, you can mix and match it and make it into a lot of different outfits. Also, we all know that offices are freezing cold, so make sure to get one neutral color cardigan.
This dress is from Shein and it is $8!! Something on the cheap side with a cute belt to give it form can go a long way! Purses and shoes from Ross are always cheap and cute!
This whole outfit is from Ross!
