You're probably thinking I'm crazy but why not do something nice for someone that is always there for me?
Here is how I threw her a very inexpensive yet cute birthday party.
I got all the decorations at Walmart for $0.98, and used cookies and crackers we had at home.
For her cake I followed this recipe and made icing out of non fat yogurt and peanut butter. Pinterest was my best friend for this party lol
For the humans, I made Gluten Free Coconut Cupcakes, following this recipe, without icing because we just don't like icing! I put out some chocolate and hazelnut wafers, chocolates, candies, popcorn, chips and guacamole and iced passion tea.
I have a killer Guacamole recipe!!
Ingredients:
2 Avocados
2 Roma Tomatoes diced
4 Limes
1/4 Red Onion diced
1/2 Garlic Clove ground
Pinch of Salt
Preparation:
1. Mash the avocados and don't forget to put at least one pit in the mixture so the guac doesn't go black.
2. Add all the other ingredients and mix well!!
Optional: Add some spice (Dried chili flakes, spicy paprika, cayenne or diced jalapeños).
Here are the gifts the birthday girl got :) She loved her cake! Marla took a long nap immediately after eating.
Love,
