A couple of months ago I found out that a Venezuelan food truck was opening here in Austin. I was seriously so excited! I've been living here for 3 years and it was crazy to me that there weren't any Venezuelan restaurants in Austin. Today I decided to go and take some pictures of the food for the blog. Unfortunately, the sun was not helping at all!
I had Tequeños and half a cheese Empanada and my friend Brenda had the other half of the Empanada and a Pabellon Arepa (Corn meal pocket filled with black beans, cheese, shredded beef and fried sweet plantains). The food truck is located at 2201 S. 1st st. The owners are super nice and the food is delicious!
After going to the food truck, we went to Mozart's, an Austin staple, a beautiful cafe that has the most amazing view of Lake Austin. They don't serve much food, just sweets and pastries. They also have the most amazing chai tea!
